2014-2015 tuition rates

Hello LEAP Families,

It is with great pleasure that we introduce to you the tuition rates for the 2014-2015 school year! Why are we excited? Well, tuition rates have been reduced. That’s right—they’re going to be lower next year. For those curious, the last time similar rates were offered to LEAP families was 2009.

In a day and age when everything seems to be getting more expensive, how are we able to come to you with lower rates? It goes without saying that we’re going to preserve and even look to improve our service levels. We’re able to offer a savings next year because enrollment at LEAP this year has been particularly strong, and also because we’ve improved our operations and are working more efficiently. In short, the program is financially strong and, because we’re a non-profit organization, we want to pass the savings on to you.

In the coming year, we will continue to provide new enrichment offerings like the Scratch Programming and Lego Robotics classes, which we started this year. We have already begun exploring adding more guest speakers. Most importantly, we continue to provide excellent, experienced staff at a lower-than-required ratio of staff to children. In short, we plan on continuing the momentum we have gained over this past year.

LEAP staff and the Board of Directors have been working hard on a careful analysis of the organization’s finances before bringing you the new rate structure. As a result, we’re a little later than normal in finalizing these rates and know we haven’t left much time for you to register for the new school year before the conclusion of the current year. As a result, we have extended the early sign-up discount by a couple of weeks.

Registration for next year may be returned to LEAP by Friday, July 11th at an early bird special of $50 per child. Families signing up after this date will be charged a $100 registration fee per child. For those interested in registering early, please send registration documents and a check to LEAP, PO Box 298, Lincoln, MA 01773.

Thanks to everyone who made this great year possible. Hopefully this has helped to start all of your summers right!

Katie, Chris and the LEAP Board of Directors

Registration

Hello Leap Families,

Many of you have already started thinking about the fall and getting your children signed up for LEAP. When should you register? Well, there is no time like the present! We are now accepting registration forms for next year with an early bird discount of $50 per child. We have registration forms at LEAP, but our new website, lincolnleap.wordpress.com, has them readily available for downloading at your convenience. Please have your forms returned or mailed to LEAP (PO Box 298) by June 30th to take advantage of the reduced price. If you try to register in the fall, the registration fee climbs to $100 per child so let us know you will be back and save some money.

We look forward to seeing you back this fall, enjoy your summer,

Chris and Katie

End of the year!

We are in the home stretch of this school year!
We would all like to thank you for your support throughout the year.

We have made many changes, seen many people leave and had some amazing additions come on board. We have had some lovely programs, such as…Spanish for K-1 with Liz Wilkinson, The telephone man was nice enough to come meet with us twice this year, Tom Gumbart taught us about TICKS and Garlic Mustard and also fielded some pretty wild questions from the kids, Mia Katz gave an amazing show on science. We have built a great relationship with Einstein’s Workshop and they have done two outstanding classes for us, we will be continuing working with them next year.
Wow! That is a lot of fun and we didn’t even touch on all the cool activities our awesome staff have done for us!

Thank you all so much!
Please try to join us on June 19, 2014 for our Annual Meeting here at LEAP. There will be hot dogs and hamburgers, as well as salads and desserts. Please come and celebrate the end of a wonderful year!

THE CODMAN POOL WILL OPEN THIS SATURDAY!

LEAP will begin to go to the Codman pool everyday after school starting June 14, 2014. Please send your child with a bathing suit, towel and sunscreen.

Wednesday Workshops

Next week LEAPers will be participating in Einstein’s Workshop a hands-on learning center where children and adults explore the creative side of science.

Also one of our LEAP parents, Mia Dubosarsky, will be conducting a workshop for adults. The Engineering Story is a great program to engage PK-8 teachers in the integrative nature of STEM and will be held on the Lincoln School campus in Pod A from 6-8:30pm.
