Here’s what we have planned for another great week at LEAP!

Only one week left until April Vacation! LEAP VacaPlaydays is the place to be this April. Check out what happening here at LEAP and head over to the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department’s website to register. We can’t wait to play our vacation away right here at LEAP!

Hello LEAP Families,

With April Vacation right around the corner, LEAP is doing some Spring Cleaning. Over the winter season our Lost and Found area has been growing and we ask that parents and kids stop in and take a look at the collection.

Shirts, jackets, boots, lunch-boxes and more can be found at the back table of the STEM room (AKA computer room). Please take a moment of time when you come to LEAP to check out the Lost and Found area and reclaim any lost items.

Happy April everyone! Although the snow is still on the ground, April showers are coming soon to wash them away and deliver us May Flowers. In the mean time, exciting things are happening here at LEAP!

Last week, we ended March with an incredible visit from the Curious Creatures, where kids got to pet and learn about many animals, including a bunny, a tortoise and turtle, a chinchilla, a flying squirrel, two types of snakes, a Gila monster, and a baby alligator! The kids had so much fun and learned some cool facts about the wildlife!

April 4 is Pokemon Day! Kids will play “Gotta Catch Em All” Dodgeball and then choose between activities such as “Build your own pokemon,” “How to Draw a Pokemon” and “Pokemon Headbandz.” LEAP teachers know how many students here love Pokemon so we are super excited to host this theme day created for them in mind!

This Friday, April 6^th is Fun Night! LEAP kids will get to eat pizza, watch a movie, and make ice cream sundaes all while spending time with their LEAP friends. Sign up your kids today and take the night off while your kids have a blast in a fun, safe, place.

April 11 LEAP will take a field trip to the Acton Bowladrome to learn some new skills and have a friendly game with friends. Download a permission slip so your student can join in the fun!

April Vacation is right around the corner! If you don’t have plans yet for April 17-20^th, sign up for VacaPlaydays at LEAP! The kids will get a great vacation right here at LEAP-schedule and information to come soon. Sign up through the Lincoln Parks and Rec Department.

April 25 is science day-kids will explore and learn with different science experiments in rotations around LEAP.

After that, May will bring warmer weather and trips to Drumlin, Codman, and Decordova Museum! And before you know it, we’ll be in June with a Carnival, Annual Meeting, and visits to Codman Pool! It’s crazy to think about summer when there is still snow on the ground, but we are excited to be planning ahead with the summer sun right around the corner!

This Friday is another LEAP Fun Night! Sign up today so your kids can play while you take the night off.

This Friday at LEAP we will be selling Pizza for lunch.  Pizza is $1 per slice.

This Friday, March 30^th was originally scheduled for no school due to the observance of religious holidays. Because of the recent snow storms, the Lincoln Public School system has chosen to open school from 8-11am to make up some of this time. As a courtesy to parents, LEAP will be open from 11am to 3pm.

We ask that parents please let us know in advance if you plan on sending your children to LEAP this Friday, so that we can determine the number of staff required to come in. Please email Katie at leap0615@gmail.com with your plans for this Friday.
