Countdown to Summer

Hi Parents!
We’re not done yet!
Although there’s only a few weeks left of school, we’ve got some awesome things planned for your kids!  With all this FUN in the SUN, please remember to send your students with sun protection and bug-spray.
As you know, the kids are battling it out again this Wednesday in COLOR WARS.  We will have a fun filled day of events here on campus today.
Next Wednesday, May 31st we are going on our last field trip of the year!  LEAPers will get to meet some real LEAP frogs, along with Kangaroos, Spider Monkeys, and Reindeer at the Stone Zoo in Stoneham MA. Make sure to sign a field trip permission slip! Download permission slip here: off-site-activities-permission-form (1)
Friday June 2nd will be our last Fun Night of the year! Come join us for Pizza, Ice Cream and a movie for only $20 a kid. Keep an eye out for the Movie announcement on the website!
The last week of school will be hot and humid-but lucky for us, the Codman pool is opening on June 10th! Please send your child with a bathing-suit and towel-and don’t forget the sunscreen!
Wednesday June 14th will be our annual end of the year CARNIVAL! Come party with us at LEAP with dancing, an ice cream party, and more! More details to come in the next few weeks.
Some of you have asked if LEAP is providing childcare for the week after school ends. As always, we want to help parents in any way we can and we have tried to consider every possible option. Unfortunately, we have come to the conclusion that we do not have enough staff to offer a Vaca-Playdays during June.
Many of our teachers are preparing for summer camps or leaving on summer adventures of their own. We hope that you understand our decision and we wish you the best of luck in your summer plans.

Color Wars!!

The sun is shining and the battles have begun! The Color Wars competition returns with four new teams and oodles of new challenges!

Wednesday May 17th was the Round one: THE DRAFT

All students were placed on a team, and chose their staff captain out of a hat. Each team came up with a team name and chant, and created team Tie-dyed T-shirts.

In the next few weeks these teams will have to stick together as they are put to the test. Each week they will be tested on their teamwork, athletic ability, artistic ingenuity, and critical thinking skills. As always, points will be awarded for team spirit, sportsmanship, and participation.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!

LEAP Survey!!

Dear Parents,
It’s hard to believe that it’s already May and the end of the school year is in sight!  Even though things are winding down, LEAP is actively making plans for next year.   At LEAP, we strive to continuously find ways to enhance the after-school experience for our kids and families.  Critical to our ability to do this, we like to provide our families with opportunities to give feedback that we use to guide improvements to LEAP.   Here is a link to the annually administered Parent Satisfaction Survey.
Please have one person in your family complete the survey by 05/12/17 so that we can compile the results and prepare a report that will be presented at our Annual Meeting on 05/17/17.  We do not ask for any names so that respondents can remain anonymous.
Thank you for taking the time to do this.  With your input, we hope to ensure that LEAP continues to be a vibrant program that meets the needs for our wonderful community of families.
