LEAP Big Kids are going on a Field Trip!
Dear Parents of the Big Kids,
The Big Kids successfully reached the group reward of going to a trampoline park, which will be the last field trip of the year! The middle schoolers voted on going to the Altitude Trampoline Park in Billerica and we’d like to make it happen for Wednesday, May 30th.
Each student needs to bring a completed paper waiver on the day of the field trip. You can download the waiver here. Every student worked to earn this reward, and we’d love to have as many Big Kids as possible, so of course, even if your middle schooler doesn’t come to LEAP on Wednesdays, they are more than welcome to join in on the fun! Let us know if you have any questions.

Dear LEAP Families,
It is hard to believe that the school year is drawing to a close! This year has been a great success for the LEAP program, with record enrollment and the assembly of an incredibly talented and energetic LEAP staff.
To close out the year, LEAP will be holding its Annual Meeting on Wednesday June 6. In order to ensure that families are able to make it to other commitments that evening, refreshments will be available starting at 5:00pm with an open meeting of the Board of Directors to follow.
Please consider taking time on the evening of the 6th to socialize with LEAP families and attend the short meeting afterwards to learn more about the governance of the program. Katie and the LEAP Board look forward to presenting program highlights and the parent survey results, as well as discussing opportunities for the coming school year. During this time we will also vote on the new Parent Board of Directors for 2018-2019. We always welcome new participants and fresh ideas, so please feel free to reach out to any of us to learn more about board membership or simply come to the meeting on the 6th to learn more. Big Kids Drop In has been postponed until next fall due to lack of interest. We’re sorry for any inconvenience and hope that we can make this night a success next year for the middle schoolers. Thank you, and have a great weekend!
Next Wednesday, May 23rd LEAP is going to Drumlin Farm, a Mass Audubon location right here in Lincoln, MA!
We are so excited to return to one of our favorite local field trips and learn something new! This year, kids will be participating in the Wild & Domestic Program while we are there. Please download the Permission Slip or grab one at LEAP and return it to LEAP before the day of the trip. Thank you!

Each year LEAP asks parents to complete a short survey about how they felt the school year went, and how we can improve our program for future LEAPers. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey to help us continue to make our program the best it can be. Thank you!
Yesterday we were so fortunate to be visited by Trisha from Magic Brush Pottery ! The Kids loved painting bowls, mugs, and plates, and we are all so excited to see the final product in a coupe weeks. We also got outside to enjoy the sunshine, playing GaGa Ball and some classic circle games like Duck Duck Goose! Check out the pictures below:
We’ve got another Big Kids Drop In coming up next Friday night! Gather all the Lincoln Middle Schoolers you know and head over to LEAP for a place to hang out with friends, listen to music, watch a movie or play some Fortnie together. The cost is only $10 per kids, with a cash bar for snacks. Hope to see you there!
