LEAP has joined Magic Garden in their support of those less fortunate with our annual can-drive! On December 2, 2015 LEAPers will participate in a community service run at center field of the Lincoln School. For each lap that the students run, LEAP will donate a can of food to Rosie’s Place. Rosie’s Place, founded in 1974, was the first women’s shelter established in the United States. Visit RosiesPlace.org for more info!

We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly hinge on understanding how technology works. But only a tiny fraction of us are learning computer science, and less students are studying it than a decade ago.

That’s why our entire program is joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code, during Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 7-13). More than 100 million students worldwide have already tried an Hour of Code.

Our Hour of Code is a statement that LEAP is ready to teach these foundational 21st century skills. To continue bringing programming activities to your students, we want to make our Hour of Code event huge.

This is a chance to change the future of education in Lincoln, MA.

Dear LEAP parents,This year we will be raffling off themed gift-baskets as part of our fundraising efforts. We would like to ask for your help in collecting donations and gifts to go in these baskets. Each room here at LEAP will have a different theme for their basket, and we will raffle off the baskets during our fundraiser: “An Evening of Acapella: LEAP Benefit” on December 11th.
