Hello LEAP families!
We are well through March already and ready to zoom into Spring!
This week, we welcomed Lieutenant Ben Juhola and his team from the Lincoln Fire Department to teach us about fire safety. We enjoyed various Fire Safety activities throughout the day, and each group will met the team—and toured the truck!
The Middle School production of The Lion King will be opening next week. A group from LEAP will be attending the performance on Wednesday 3/29. The performance will be approximately 2 hours long, ending at 5:30pm. Parents are asked to wait until the performance is over to pick up their child.
April we will be going on two double feature Town of Lincoln field trips! On Wednesdays, April 5th and 12th, LEAP will be split into two groups by grades. One group will check out the outside museum at Decordova, while the other group learns about where our drinking water comes from at the Lincoln Water Department. Make sure the kids bring their sneakers, because we will be exploring the outdoors on the way, taking a hike to these two nearby locations.
Another FUN NIGHT will happen on April 7th! Drop off your kids for a night of pizza, ice cream and movies!
April Vacation starts on Friday April 14th! If you don’t have plans, no worries: another round of VacaPlaydays will be right here at LEAP. Tuesday through Friday, 8am-4pm, we will have fun and exciting activities for your kids, so they can get some fun in the sun while you’re stuck at work. Sign up through the Lincoln Parks and Recreation department.
Sincerely,
LEAP
